This will now explain away any misspelled words that are in this column. Instead of taking the time to look up spelling in my dictionary I will just save time by putting the first and last letter in the right place and leave the rest up to the reader. I tahnk Dave Baker for fraownidg tihs vlaubalbe inorfamtoin to me via email.
This is the month that Phase One construction at Hidden Vale is supposed to start so, the question is, will I have some good pictures to show in November?
One of the codes of life missing here in the Philippines is "honor" especially when it comes to paying back loans or incurring legitimate debts and then refusing to honor the obligation of paying off that debt but this takes place world wide, especially in the United States where bankruptcy laws are being abused. Recently a company has developed a restructuring plan that appears to have left out any definite plans to pay off, in good faith, a rather large debt to a well known construction company owned and run by an expat. Will there be a serious effort of this "new look" company to show an image of "honor" thereby saving face in this community? Let us hope the answer is YES!
TIDBITS
NERO'S CLUB reopened mid September and that has to be good news to the many that were saddened by its closure. Regretfully, the place just doesn't have the attendance it had before nor does the atmosphere sparkle with excitement. It seems that a sort of emptiness prevails as the number of dancers has dwindled dramatically. No doubt Nero's will bounce back from its doldrums as the political and legal cloud hanging over the place moves on to another location. As of 17 Sep Richard Agnew is still in detention and it is too early to depend on a date for his return to the clubs that require his immediate attention. Briefly, he was a patient at Angeles University Foundation (AUF) hospital for a stomach infection. This is not surprising as the location of where he is staying in Manila is not conducive to healthy living. The Blue Nile club appears to be the flagship enterprise now as business is booming there with large nightly crowds in attendance. The renovation of the rooms at the Tropicana is progressing rapidly and believe me, the end result will be a showcase for class accommodation in this town. Richard continues to put his touch of class to any project he undertakes, despite his forced absence from Fields Ave.
SOME folks have been asking as to why Nero's has been allowed to open but the Stinger Bar remains closed. It is a good question, especially since Gary Stone is not being detained for any offenses. My enquiries have brought various responses one of which is the rumor that the Stinger may remain closed for one year. Naturally this could change at any time as attorneys representing the owners of the building (Stinger) may be able to get some specific answers. Some of the responses I have received have brought me into areas I would rather not write about as they are sensitive in nature and I would just rather sit around and see what happens. Isn't it exciting to live in a Third World Developing Country!
Speaking of being closed Harro's Lightning Jack's bar did not even last a year. When I rang the bell on opening night I told Harro that I had never done that before and since my name would be first on the mirror could he at least stay open a year. Obviously, I will never ring a bell again. Duck does not pay me enough to do that anyway, I just got carried away with the moment.
Has anyone heard of Mojo's American Bar in Dongducheon, Korea, just outside of Camp Casey? I never did until Keith Boeck sent me an e-mail indicating that he read my column and would appreciate a word or two from me about what I thought of his place. It is true that, no doubt, I will never get to Korea but if I had plans to do so, I would definitely do my best to visit Mojo's. I reviewed his website www.mojosbar.com and was very impressed. I loved the pictures and it made me think of the various motorcycle groups located here in Angeles City. From the pictures and the writings it seems that the lads who visit Mojo's are out for a good time of drinking, eating, and socializing. Like the Hole in the Wall it is frequented by motorcycle fans and many have the necessary beards and tattoos to prove it. To me though, any bar that has a steel tip dart board hanging on the wall must be a great place to visit. So, if anyone from here visits Mojo's please pass on my regards to Keith.
Recently I visited the Black Jack bar and found it extremely boring as the dancers were just standing around and I was the only customer in the place. This is a big change from less than a year ago when the bar was always full of customers having a good time. Right now, there is no atmosphere but I am sure that Mr. Atlee will look into this situation and make some improvements. When I offered to take some pictures and publicize the place, despite its emptiness, the Mamasan refused my request so I could only guess that she did not care if any customers came in or not. I have heard some very good reports about the restaurant upstairs and plan a return visit with Mrs. Horse one evening, my goodness; it has been a few years since we last dined there.
The Silver Bullet bar has added an additional serving bar with seats in a location that now allows customers to view the action at the pool table and also provides a clear view of the dancers on stage. The Bullet draws a loyal expat following with a smattering of tourists willing to get well away from Fields Ave. It is not easy to get to without a car but if you get to the Checkpoint and take the jeepney heading for Hensonville it is only a five minute ride.
LAS VEGAS CLUB owner Bill had good timing as he recently won AUD 200, 000 while playing roulette at the Crown, Melbourne. It came in handy as his renovation of the Las Vegas Club has become a bigger project than originally planned. After his win, Bill was enjoying the privileges of the Mahogany Room (VIP room at the Crown) when the management informed him that he was no longer welcome and asked him to leave. Bill's advice is "don't go there unless you expect to lose, they want you to lose gracefully, but not vice versa". The ongoing renovation is a complete makeover as the interior was completely gutted and Bill has promised that the new look will be very pleasing to the eye.
Being sick enough to be hospitalized is not something anyone looks forward to or enjoys but in the case of Richard Agnew, being diagnosed with Chromes Disease was a bit of a blessing as it required him to be admitted to Angeles University Foundation Hospital (AUF) for treatment, thereby getting him out of confinement in Manila. Believe me, it is not pleasurable as he requires medicines to be administered intravenously but the comfort level is a hell of an improvement from having to share a cell with 22 other guests of the Immigration Department. When I visited, Richards's spirits were high and he was optimistic about the future. He realizes that he must let the judicial system take its course and deal with it on a day to day basis. Richard wanted one and all to know that he was overwhelmed with the support that he has received from his staff, customers and friends and that he received hundreds of text messages during his first days of confinement. He said that "he would like to thank everybody, especially those calling from out of country and those that visited personally". He said "that so many people would visit that the guards would tease him and say it looked like a barangay meeting". Despite his present circumstances his face lit up with excitement as he talked about the renovations taking place at the Tropicana Hotel (exterior view pictured below) and what the new rooms would offer. This is a prime example of a man with positive objectives pressing on despite having to overcome the many obstacles being placed in his path. As the old saying goes, "you just can't keep a good man down" and Richard will survive this latest ordeal and this town will continue to benefit from his ideas and support.

Tropicana new look |
All too often we expats experience some negatives when dealing with the local police but since the assignment of Superintendent Jimmy Restua to be the man in charge in this area the police image has improved. On the local front Major Miranda has emphasized cooperation and a positive approach when dealing with foreigners. I have been briefed on two incidents that reflect positive approaches by the police in dealing with foreigners. The first one is not a pleasant story as it involves a Filipino civilian that was bent on harming an 18 year old tourist that was involved in a harmless, accidental encounter with a Filipina pedestrian on Fields Ave. While walking along the sidewalk with friends he was looking at a window display and bumped into this lady, by reflex he touched her back and extended his apologies. This lady went off at him, yelling that you touched the wrong lady, I am not a prostitute, you will pay for this in a loud voice. He again said sorry and they proceeded about their business. Not too long afterwards he was picked up by the police because a complaint had been lodged against him by the girl and also supported by the girl's boyfriend who had not been present. Once the police heard the comments from the witnesses, they wanted to release the kid as he needed to get to Manila the next day to catch a plane to return to New York and then leave to enter the U.S. Navy. But the boyfriend of the complainant was the son of an influential, well connected individual in Manila who, was so high up that the police could not release the kid. Our local police treated the individual extremely well, giving him soft drink and a snack but their hands were tied because the girl's boyfriend refused to let her drop the charges. All attempts to get them to drop charges fell on deaf ears and eventually Kokomo's Mo was contacted and came on board to try and talk sense to the boyfriend but his appeals met deaf ears. The man was determined to teach this foreigner a lesson on how to treat women. The dialogue between them went on for some time and it was not until 0300 hrs that the boyfriend indicated they would drop the charges but that first he wanted to go into the room and rough up the young man. At that time Mo told him that if he touched the kid that he himself would see that appropriate charges were filed against the boyfriend and contact the media, etc. and publicize how a tourist is treated in this country and publicize the complainants name. At this time he backed off but agreed to drop charges only after requiring the kid to get on his knees in front of him and apologize. The positive aspect of this is the help that our local police tried to give but their efforts were thwarted by the Filipina being so well connected. This was obviously a lady and her boyfriend who were spoiled kids and liked throwing their weight around. It is true that not all the women who walk along Fields Ave are bar girls and one must be careful not to assume they are or trouble could follow but my goodness, this incident went a bit too far and an innocent young man suffered unnecessary humiliation.

The best in town? |
The second incident involves an expat and his wife who were victims of a robbery in that two females living in their residence decided to take off but only after they stole a computer, DVD player, jewelry, and money. One of the ladies, both of whom were 18 years old, was taken in at the age of six after her father died in a construction accident, sent to top schools to include being enrolled in Systems Plus. The other lady was taken in a few months ago to work as a house girl after she was left with no family in the province. Naturally, there is a boyfriend involved here, what else is new? The couple, lets call them Mr. and Mrs. P, went to the police station located at the Friendship gate and spoke with policewoman PO2 Miriam Arcega and this is where the good news begins. Mr. P was full of praise for the efforts of Miriam and the two uniformed police officers that assisted in apprehending the culprits involved and the recovery of all the stolen items. No money was asked for, the politeness displayed and the professional manner displayed was fantastic. Even the cleanliness of the station house was noted and when the horse visited to take pictures they were still hard at work in improving the image of the PKC 52 Kabayan Center. The man in charge, PCINSP July Caligagan indicated that in October he was hosting a community bar-b-q at the station in a community relations effort. I would not hesitate to say that PKC 52, along with PO2 Miriam Arcega, SPO4 Filemon Oyan, SPO2 George Paragas PO3 Kenneth Vega and SPO2 Danilo Roque is setting the example for all other Kabayan Centers in this town to follow. For police assistance in the Friendship area their telephone number is 321-0305.
As it turns out the plans to transfer the 7th Street Immigration Office on to Clark is on hold, indefinitely. Guess they like their little office tucked away where they can have a bit of independence.
FORBIDDEN CITY
For the many visitors that come to this area many find that there is little to do in Angeles City other than to partake of the main attractions offered by the many bars on Fields Ave and along Perimeter Road. No complaint here, after all, those is what makes that long plane ride worthwhile but after the energy level starts to wane and the viagra starts to wear off the desire to slow down a bit and check out other sights starts to sound appealing; in the near future the need to travel long distances out of Angeles City to seek out something interesting to do will not be necessary. Thanks to the dream of one Las Vegas resident (for simplicity I will refer to him as "LS") that came to Angeles City, visited the Clark Economic Zone (CSEZ) (formerly Clark Air Base) and then had an idea of developing an entertainment site catering to adults and children. This dream has, after 14 months of negotiations, has finally reached a positive conclusion in that contracts have been signed, licenses obtained and plans finalized, so in the near future construction will begin. This was not an easy task as it required a great deal of help from various sources particularly from local businessman Robert Sullivan who was invaluable in putting the investor in touch with the people necessary to give the project a green light. It will be difficult to cover all the exciting attractions that will be built around the 14.8 hectare area that includes the closed Forbidden City Club (previously the Bobbitt theatre when the base was here), the old BX, Commissary, Bank, etc. It is a huge area and the first construction will be to transform the old Forbidden City into an upscale disco type night club with top entertainment from Manila offered, and a five star restaurant.
The complex includes plans to convert one of the buildings into a game works facility featuring rock climbing, new tech video games, and rides. There will be a mini golf course, educational petting zoo, Outback Steak House, TGIF (Fridays), Tequilla Joes and Italiano's which will certainly be welcomed by the many folks looking for some great places to eat. There will be an entertainment center (gaming) to include miscellaneous restaurants, piano bar, sports bar, cafes, private pool area, gardens, spa, and a 250 room hotel to begin with.
A lake will be built around which will be individual habitats for various types of animals (mini zoo) to include pony, llama, and camel rides as well.
Folks, this is a done deal, it will happen and to quote LS "it took one hour and 14 months to get this project finalized". I have been aware of this project for the entire time but was asked not to print anything until final approval. Believe me, I am excited about this and very pleased to be able to write about it now and plan to keep you up to date as soon as construction begins. This will really be a shot in the arm for the CSEZ and Angeles City as well. If you take into consideration the railway being built from Manila to Clark, the toll road from Subic to Clark and the construction of the SM mall on base you will see that the immediate future will be bringing some exciting changes to this area. The emphasis on developing the airport here will no doubt, some year, see international flights landing right here at Clark and by golly, that is something to look forward to.
As if the above is not enough to rave about, I do believe that next month I will be able to provide some details about another major project being undertaken by LS, again with the help of Mr. Sullivan that should be finalized in a week or so that will have a big impact on tourism to this area. As Paul Harvey would say "Stand by for News!"

was supposed to be, a place to offer a good feed, both outside and inside along with some lovely dancers and music to entertain the customer. The Club itself is not open yet but will be any day now as they are just waiting for name approval but the Garden Terrace Bar is already proving to be very popular. The European style eatery that allows diners to sit outside to enjoy some food and watch the world go by is fantastic. This reporter particularly enjoyed the balcony that afforded a view of the street, along with being able to watch the sports on TV and enjoy a very tasty hamburger that was very, very filling. The suggestion to add a few more fans upstairs was immediately
acknowledged by Chris, the manager and was informed that plans had already been made to do so. The outside area will be open 24 hours a day and I believe the hours for the

Manager Chris is a great host, willing to chat and always has a ready smile except when suffering from the flu as he was recently. Talk about dedication, he was still on the job, even with the sniffles. Previously, Ayer's Rock always looked dark from the outside but now it is well lit and attracts customers with its, well, just plain happy appearance. The concept is GREAT and for sure, this club will be a huge success and oh yes, least I forget, local drinks outside are only P35

LOCAL CELEBRATIES
Lowell Johnson and Mr. Harris have been residents of Angeles City for many years now and Lowell is known as "Mr. Hidden Vale" and is renowned for his lawn bowl tournament opening productions. Harris holds court at the Dog House on a daily basis and is qualified to answer all questions about any subject whether he knows the answer or not but any listener will depart thinking he has just met a genius! Anyone visiting the Dog House on 1st Street is in for a treat as the conversation is non-stop with some of the friendliest folks you can hope to meet where a handshake is always given, even to strangers.

REJOICE DEAR FRIENDS
Finally, the Friendship Bridge is under construction and residents living on the Southside of town can now look forward to a decent bridge in a year and a half, maybe two. Yep, that is how long it will take to complete as verified by a City Official. As announced last year, the new span will be built parallel to the temporary one so drivers still have to contend with the usual one lane at a time traffic for the duration. Not to worry, it gives all those folks living in the expensive subdivisions something to look forward to. In addition to the Friendship bridge also under construction is a bailey bridge near the same area but a bit to the west.

PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL (PIH)
Folks, there are two TRICARE servicing medical facilities in Angeles City, Health Visions and Cyber Care. Recently Health Vision's PIH received a few hits in a newsletter and on the message boards. I belong to both services so support both but will reprint comments from the PIH administrator for informational purposes:
"Our CT scan is installed and should be up and running within a month at the outside. We are awaiting receipt of the correct version of its computer software.
Construction is ongoing for installation of our MRI purchased from Kosmic Clark. We are adding a room in the basement in the open area behind the Rehab
Wing. We expect the MRI to be available within two months.
We now have a stocked blood bank, with reserves at the Subic Bay Medical Center (ex-Navy hospital at Cubi). We even have a unit of Type O NEG, but it's
only good for a month.
We were stunned by the Mville e-mail last week regarding our pricing. Unfortunately we were not contacted beforehand, and it is difficult to identify the cases cited without dates and names. But here are some facts:
A. We had a Brit expat admitted a couple weeks ago. Bill of P101K, which was not bad for ambulance pickup, 3 1/2 days in our ICU, services of two specialists (cardiac and pulmonary), full time respiratory care, and four visits by
the crash cart team.
B. One case of P20K becoming 60K was delivery of a non-TRICARE expat's girl baby. We had given him previously an estimate of 25K for a normal delivery with no complications. However, the lady was 9 1/2 months pregnant, labor had to be induced, the delivery was particularly difficult, and the baby had a blood
disease. (We have already delivered two other babies without complications that were P25K.)
C. A non-TRICARE expat who lives in Manila has visited our Emergency Room twice for his son and significant other. He was very satisfied with the service and stated that the prices are comparable to Makati Medical Center, which he has used for years."
Enough said.
Best regards.

Pie dreams of Korea |
Is it lady or man? While sitting at the Sub Delicious in the Jade Cool building on Fields Ave I notice this lady on three successive evenings and after hearing her talk to the ladies at the desk I had a suspicion that maybe "she" might be a "he". Not being the shy type I caught her at the computer and asked her what gender she belonged to and without any hesitation admitted to being male. Additionally, she went on that she worked part time at Jade Cool and also worked full time on base at Cyber City, for a telecommunications company that operates one of those outfits that tries to sell products by phone to customers in the States. It is done out of country in an attempt to get around the recent backlash in the States against such companies. They have a training program that lasts a month or so and each employee must speak very good English so the contacts will think they are talking to an operator in the States, not overseas. She said her name is Pie and that she is waiting for her American boyfriend that works in Korea. Now, this mix-mix looks good, is well dressed, has an outgoing personality but, sorry folks, her heart belongs to another. In fact, she provided me with his name but I do believe he would rather not have it printed here!
THE NEW VOODOO
In all the years that I have been here there has never been a bar that upon

entering, I was cold. This is a first as when I visited the Voodoo the air conditioners were in damn good shape as not only was I chilled but the dancers were shivering their little butts off. No doubt when there are 40 or more customers on board the temperature would be perfect but since there were only five of us we got the full effect. No problem though, the main thing is that the Voodoo is up and running and it is a nice cozy bar that will feature the same big events that only Mo and Scott can come up with. In fact, on 27 Sep Mo's annual Christmas in September will certainly test the air cons as no doubt, a big crowd will be on hand, especially with the birthdays of John Bee and the Duck being celebrated at the same time. Before the bar was built within Kokomos I told Mo that I hoped it would be sound proofed so the music would not be heard by folks renting the rooms directly above. Believe it or not, he managed to do that, even downstairs, just standing a couple of feet from the entrance, I still could not hear any music. Does this mean that Mo will take a break from further renovations? Absolutely not! As this is being written his kitchen is being totally renovated. They are streamlining the food flow plus giving it a much needed face lift. Following the kitchen, he's seriously considering enclosing a good portion of the restaurant and turning it inot an air conditioned lounge/bar/restaurant. The final decision will be made the first week of October. With the move of Voodoo to the Kokomo's building, the next step will be a 24 hour outside bar to complement the rest of the operation.

NEW BAR OPENS

Wing Walker Ladies |
It is fortunate that I read the message boards once in a while or I would have missed the opening of the new bar Wing Walkers (formerly Blue K) that took place on 26 September. During their four day celebration they offered 15 Peso local drinks and included Bahama Mama's Indoor Cabaret as well. This is good for the last few times that I went into Bahama Mama's the place was just about empty so including them in their opening promo might give them the jump start they need. The public relations notice posted on the boards announced that Wing Walkers, and Bahama Mama's Indoor Cabaret feature P40 local drinks, and ladies drinks are only P85 (Honey Ko's and Bahama Mama's Outdoor Patio, feature P75 ladies drinks)! Many times in the past I have written up the advantages of visiting Honey Ko's but I will reserve judgement on Wing Walkers until next month after the celebrations die down and it is business as usual. Wing Walkers is an unusual name so at the 26 Sep opening I asked Des about it. Naturally it refers to the people that do those acrobatic things on old planes where they walk on the

wings during flight; ok, fine, but why that name for the bar? It seems that out of dozens of names submitted for approval, this is the only one that got approval. The opening was low key which surprised me since the drinks were only 15 pesos but then there was no publicity other than what appeared on the message boards. Richard is back to serve up his delicious Indian food and I must say that the renovation appears to have added a bit more space but I wonder if there is enough seating. Right now, no problem as there were not many in attendance but lets see how things go after a couple of weeks. By the way, Bahama Mama's is on the market and serious buyers can contact Des at Honey Ko's. This bar needs a lot of help and a new owner with some good ideas can make a go of it as the location is not bad.

WOODY IS BACK IN BUSINESS
Woody's Wonderworld opened its doors to the public on 26 Sep and it is a welcome sight as this little gift shop offers gifts at bargain prices. It is an ideal to place to buy those gifts you don't want to spend a fortune on and believe me, one can find a lot of bargains for those Christmas gifts that are inexpensive but are exciting to receive. The interior décor is first class and seems like it would fit right in at any exclusive mall. It will take a few more weeks for Woody to increase his stock but plenty of great items are available right now. Stop by and take a look.

Trying to make a living |
It is never too late to learn something new! I did not realize that the guys working hard to sell those shirts, watches, shoes and sundry other items on the street are licensed by the Mayor's office. Just like the jeepney drivers they even have their own association and most of these street vendors are hardworking and trying to support a family. Sure, the watches they are selling are imitation with local innards but they do work and some last for over a year, but some tourists buy them in lots of a dozen or more and then sell them for a bit of a profit back home. Even though that Rolex is fake, it still looks good, for a while anyway. Very seldom will they display their identification cards but they do carry them. Their job is not an easy one, especially those that walk for miles each day flogging their wares but if you keep an eye out, you can find a bargain and have fun negotiating the price. At least they are working and not just sitting around with their hands out, begging.
NEW LOCATION
OK, this is the last time I will feature "the foot" especially now that a shoe has been added and it is nearly back to normal. The "foot" would like all those interested to know that P.K's. Sporting operation is now at their new location, the Flamingo Bar and Orchid Inn. The "foot" now owes me two drinks!

RAPE CHARGES DISMISSED
 |
|
Barry Edwards |
On Friday, 26 Sep I was visited by Mr. Barry Edwards who wanted to meet Harry the Horse and to let me know that all charges against him have been dismissed for lack of evidence and non-cooperation of the complainants. Originally, the impression, garnered from news and police reports was that Barry had been arrested on pedophile related offenses but in fact, he was charged with rape. The circumstances of his arrest sounds all too familiar in that he was greeted by police officers that did not have any mission orders, no search warrants and use force to enter his apartment. At one point, according to Barry, one officer put a gun to his head and informed him that if he did not give them a key to the apartment, he would kill him; the officer did not realize that the door was not even locked. There are too many details of this travesty that would take too much space for this column but after spending two months in jail, under very trying conditions, Barry is now a free man with all charges dismissed. Even though his incarceration was not very comfortable he still had praise for Warden Labordo and Deputy Warden Del Rosario who treated, not only him, but all the prisoners fairly and with respect. This is not the first time that expat prisoners have passed on compliments to these two individuals. It was interesting to note that his fellow prisoners treated him well and that the prisoners have their own little officialdom set up as well. Even though Barry is free it must be noted, and this also is not unusual, it did take a hell of a bite out of his savings for various expenses and legal fees. This happens to every expat brought up on charges, either real or made up. Barry also took exception to the article printed in the Daily Mirror in that nearly everything printed was incorrect but then that also applies to the article in the Mirror about Richard Agnew as well. Most of what was written was taken from various police reports and what was put out by the news media with a few embellishments. Now that Barry is free again, he plans to take a bit of a vacation to get away from it all for a while but still intends to remain living in the Philippines. I told Barry that I thought it would be wise for all expats living here to carry around a business card from their favorite lawyer, just in case. I will get one next week!
CATCHING MY EYE
You know how it is, you are out in the afternoon, just taking it easy and you see some ladies that kink of catch your eye and you wonder where they are working. Well, here are four for you! Angel and Jacky work in Voodoo; Salvacion & Rolina are sisters working in Club Amore. Of course my question to the sisters had to be "do you go out together with a customer" and the reply, with a bit of a smile was "you bet!"

STANDING TALL
Priscilla the Horse and I spotted this baby faced giant at the Hole in the Wall on one of the rare occasions that I was treating Mrs Horse out to a steak dinner. He stood out so much that I had to get a couple of pictures and find out who he was. His name is Greg Ryan Kustur, 18 years old, 6'6" from Milwaukie, Oregon studying Computer Science in college. He was taking a three month break to visit with his Dad, Fast Eddie, in Angeles City and enjoying every minute of his time here. The lady in the picture is one cute little honey working at the Hole in the Wall. I asked him what was the most fun he had here and, still being a young replied that walking into the bars and hearing the screams of the ladies when they saw him. I'll tell you this, he is a fine, polite, well mannered young man that any parents could be proud of and fast Eddie was no exception. I wonder though, did Eddie look this innocent when he was 18?

THE GIRL'S NIGHT OUT
Now, who says married ladies in Angeles City do not get together for a fun night out on the town once in a while? On this particular evening these charming ladies were caught having a few drinks in Honey Ko's to help celebrate Damien's birthday. George Brown was on hand to make sure they were well taken care of.

Great Smiles |
Well by golly, I have to get back to the stable, eat some hay and catch some sleep. Priscilla the Horse is always happy when I finally finish the column each month so I can spend some time with her. The rains should be tapering off in October but then watch out for the November typhoons. October should see the full operation of Staggers (Ayer's Rock) and the completion of the Cheetah Club; check out the happenings at the Swagman as well, especially the wet T-shirt contest and the body painting. The Horse will be looking forward to the putting up my haunted house at the Hotel La Casa on Halloween night, so bring your kids by for some candy and a bit of a scare. One is never too old to have fun on Halloween! Now, don't forget, be kind to horses. |
